Installing HP-UX on K- Class

Hey everyone, I am trying to install OS on a k-class machine but I am getting the following error message when I try to install the OS. Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.

1. I boot off the cdrom
2. Interact with IPL --- N

Error message:

j2DJ10L
WARN C7F2
IPL error: bad LIF magic
WARN C7F0
Error Reading IPL

It appears that you have a bad CD. I would also check that your K-box is at the minimum firmware level for 11.0.

Hi,

Bad LIF magic appears when an error reading the boot device. IN your case, the OS CD might be bad !

This error usually means the CD is probably damaged/bad.
