I am new to UNIX. I have D-370 server was trying to load HP-UXi. I am connected through HyperTerminal. But I cannot enter anything at the following prompt. Plz HELP. Thank you.
he HP-UX installation utility requires information about the type of terminal that you are using as the system console.
The terminals supported are:
1) HP type terminals.
2) VT100 type terminals (and VT100 emulators).
3) Wyse 60 type terminals (and Wyse 60 emulators).
Enter the number corresponding to the terminal type that best matches your terminal (default: 1):

SolutionTry using hyper terminal with vt100 settings. Set this up prior to connecting and then choose item 2 above.
Hyperterminal is not well suited to this task. I use procomm for this purpose and a vt100 setup and this does succeed.
