Hi,
I'm trying to install 11.31 on a bl860ci2. The installation process creates vg00 and the lvols's and installs the mini-system. But if gives an error when trying to make the disk bootable:
* Installing boot area on disk.
efi_mkdir: Invalid argument.
Error creating directory / on /tmp/ign_configure/RAMFS/dev/rdisk/disk1_pl
ERROR: /usr/sbin/efi_mkdir returned 25
ERROR: command "sbin/mkboot -e -l /tmp/ign_configure/RAMFS/dev/rdisk/disk1" failed.
I'm trying to get the latest firmware, but the site is extremely slow.
Does anyone has an idea?
Thanks, Michel

Re: Installing hpux 11.31 on bl860ci2
Sure you have a support 11.31 release for your blades?
(need to look up the minimum)
Hint:
Create a hardware RAID across the internal disks before installing the OS!
This will make disk replacements much, much easier in future!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
