Installing Ignite To A Specific Directory

I would like to install Ignite to a directory that is not the default location. What options and/or arguments do I need to use when I start
the installation? Thanks.

Re: Installing Ignite To A Specific Directory

Hi Andrew,

I believe ignite is too hardcoded with the paths. So, even if you change the target path to something during the swinstall location and install it, I am sure it is not going to work.

It gets installed under /opt/ignite, /etc/opt/ignite and /var/opt/ignite.

If you want everything to be installed in one directory, you could do something like this. Prior to installation, create links.

#mkdir /somewhere/optignite
#mkdir /somewhere/varignite
#mkdir /somewhere/etcignite
#ln -s /somewhere/optignite /opt/ignite
#ln -s /somewhere/varignite /var/opt/ignite
#ln -s /somewhere/etcignite /etc/opt/ignite

Then do swinstall.

Or install ignite as it is and move the directories to a different directory and create links later as above.
