Installing mirror disk from Enterprise OE cd

Howdy,

I have a client that just received a new server that they purchased with the Enterprise OE. However it came preinstalled without Mirror-Disk and OnlineJFS installed.

Is it possible to install those from the EOE DVD, or do they have to do a new OS install from the CD?

They certainly can install from those cd's. Just have them call HP licensing with the dvd part number on hand.

Whenever I get a new machine I almost ALWAYS reinstall the OS. Very rarely do the VG00 LV sizes match up with what my standards are.

If I do the install I can pick and choose what I do or do not want installed as well.

I'm sure you install from the E-OE CD/DVD, but I would re-install the whole OS.

Its on the App's cd, not the Core OS cd.

It can be built into a golden image if you want to build your own install image.

HP licensing says that it's on the app cd that came with the EOE and it doesn't require a codeword.

However when we try to install from the App cd it requires a code word. :-S

Now to convice HP Licensing to provide them with the codeword.

The codeword is required for a-la-carte sw installs...regardless of what OE media you have on hand.
