Installing Printer in HPUX 11i for Printing Chinese characters

Hi,

I want to install a printer in my unix box that would be enabled to print chinese, Japanese and Korean characters along with normal English.

Can someone help me with the detailed guided setup as to how that can be done and what are the pre-requisites for the same.

Your suggestions would be of a great help to me.

Thx in advance

Re: Installing Printer in HPUX 11i for Printing Chinese characters

Printing in any language is the responsibility of the program(s) that create Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters. HP-UX does not perform any translation. Since the characters do not translate into individual letters but are whole words or concepts, the task is to find which printers are compatible with the programs that will create the characters. Once you find a compatible printer, just add it like any other printer.
