installing VM

Hello,
This is a simple question, which I seem unable to get the answer to. Can anyone help?

I want to install Virtual machine (VM) so what can be so hard about that?
I have a HPUX image on Itanium installed then I install vm software how do I make the os I have installed the VM be the VM host? It is not very clear and I have the thing installed and yes I’ve looked at the docs, but they don't do the simple overview they never do.

Is the solution that when I install the VM software on the box then it becomes the host automatically?

Re: installing VM

Did you read chapter 2.2 Installation Procedure?

"Is the solution that when I install the HPVM software on the box then it becomes the host automatically?"

Yes. I prefer "automagically".
;-)

Check with

# hpvmstatus
# hpvminfo

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re-read the Installation and Update guide:
