Integrity virtual machines

Hi,

I have a slight issue I am installing a virtual machine via the virtual DVD. Problem I have had is that its asking me for the dvd but the dvd wont eject. I had the same thing before I put the 1st dvd in and had to stop the guest host to eject. Anyone had this problem and if so how did they fix it.

Re: Integrity virtual machines

Just learned this a month or so ago after cussing at the way I was doing it.

Present the dvd as a nullDVD device. You can then use the VM commands from the vGuest MP console to IN (insert) or EJ (eject)

hpvmmodify -P guest1 -a dvd:scsi::null:/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0

Re: Integrity virtual machines

Trying to remember when I did it that way last year (I switched to ISO images and now I have it working so I can boot install from ignite).

I seem to remember having to force the dvd out by inserting the end of a straightened paper clip into the dvd drive (the little hole below the door).

You would think that if you did a hpvmmodify -d to remove the drive from the vm would allow you to eject the dvd.
