Re: Integrity VM

what windows OS version and release are you trying to use?
You MUST use win2003 server EE 64 bit edition.
I got a similar symptom when I tried installing media supplied by a customer that was 32 bit
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Re: Integrity VM

According to the manual it must be
"Windows 2003 for Integrity Servers (Enterprise edition)" - note "for integrity"!

Can you put the HP-UX install media into the drive - just to test this?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Integrity VM

Please try to "insert" the DVD (insert command), followed by "reconnect -r" and "map -r" in EFI.

Hope this helps!

You need IA64 DVDs, *not* x64

Likely thats the same problem with the Windows media...

Re: Integrity VM

Have you tried this on your vMP prompt

The virtual machine status shows the DVD is configured/emulated as Virtual NullDVD. Make the Virtual NullDVD into Virtual DVD using
vMP> in

Then select "Removable Media Boot" option from the EFI Boot Maintenance Manager to boot and install OS from the DVD.

Re: Integrity VM

And BTW, you don't want to have 4 virtual drives containing 4 ISO images.

You only need 1 drive. You can exchange the images if needed while installation.
Once you have a ia64 version, I'm sure it will work.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
