Interactive mode is not working

Hi everybody:

I am trying to do a make_tape_recovery.
If i use ignite interactive mode, only the base OS is being archive.
I have selected vg00 in full. when i puss the button show, only the base os is shown.

If a check the flist file, i only see the os.

If a execute the command manually :

/opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery –x inc_entire=vg00 -s

it works fine.

What do you think is happening with the interactive mode ?

Thanks in advance

Re: Interactive mode is not working

Hi,
was the tape actually created with interative mode ? What other things do you expect in vg00 ?

Hello:

Maybe i expressed myself badly. What i mean is that i am trying to create the tape.
I want to do it with the interactive mode and is not working that way.
It is working when i do it with the commando i posted.

Re: Interactive mode is not working

Ignacio,
make_tape_recovery is not a genic backup tool, but used to create a bootable tape.
As such it will backup required files for the OS.
I assume the GUI starts up and you select vg00.
When you say "When i push the button show, only the base os is shown." what other files do you expect to see ?

Are you perhaps thinking about "Golden Image"

Re: Interactive mode is not working

Hi peter:

The point is that i am selecting with the GUI the ENTIRE vg00 and only the base OS is being selected.

If i execute the command make_tape_recovery -x inc_etire=vg00 is not backing up only the base OS. Is the same thing but is not producing the same results...

I have made a golden image but i want to do a specific copy of my nodes because i only have two.

What do you do to make a ENTIRE copy of vg00 using the GUI ?

Thanks
