Intermitent X25 card Failure

Hi!

My client has an SX25-Hperf (r=B.11.00.05) card installed on a D370/2 running HP-UX 11.00. Patch level is 41.

For some strange reason it fails (gets disabled)during file transfers. At times you can re-enable it w/out any problems at times you can. Re-seating does not seem to help either.

At one stage I replaced the card and reinstalled the s/ware (J2793B). This appeared to have resolved the problem until recently.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Here is how it was resolved if you are interested.

For test purposes, a router was placed btwn the modem and the x25 card and I was made to beleive that ALL the packets were being transmitted beyond the modem (up to the router). However, after a lot of arm-twisting, our adamant client agreed to replace the connector on the modem and upgrade it and the problem disappeared.

We had bad rains last night and the card is still running like a champ.!!
