Internal temperature in a K200 box.

We run HP-UX 10.01 on a K200 box. Is there a system command that can be used to get the internal temperature of the machine? I believe the system comes with an automatic shutdown if the temperature exceeds some maximum temperature.

Jim:

The previous doesn't seem to have pasted well.

DETAILS:
=======
The normal operating temperature for K-Class systems is 41 to 91 degrees
Faherheit (+5 to +40 degrees Celsius).

Over temperature first warning will begin at:
95 degrees Farenheit (+35 degrees Celsius)

Over temperature second warning (Emergency Warning) begins at:
104 degrees Farehheit (+40 degrees Celsius)

Over temperature hardware shutdown will occur at:
109 degrees Farenheit (+43 degrees Celsius)

Re: Internal temperature in a K200 box.

Jim,
There is no command to read the internal temperature sensor (a LM35 located on the power monitor) If the temperature reached the defined threshold triggers the power monitor a certain interrupt. That happens for all temperature thresholds.

There is no good troubleshooting with bad data

Re: Internal temperature in a K200 box.

Thanks guys. I have a UPS that reports its internal temperature, but I was hoping to get a more direct measure of the temperature of the K200.
