I'm stumped. I have a N class 11.0 machine attached to a fibre SAN via 2 5158a cards. There is a ton of disk attached to this server and I just added 4 additional meta volumes. The volumes reside on a EMC frame and I verified that these metas are visable to the host in question on both paths. The devices added at luns 204, 205, 206 and 207. I can see them just fine on one path. The other path stops at 203. I've tried ioscan so many times I lost count. The insf did install the device files for the devices that were found by ioscan on the other channel. Any ideas. I looked all over the ITRC for similar issues but found none.

Solution
Hi Joe,
There has to be a problem with how they were zoned on the array/switch.
Reverify that the proper system WWN was provided for that path.
Rgds,
Jeff

Re: ioscan not showing alternate path for 4 meta volumes
Jeff is right, usually you would hook up the FC HBAs to two different switches (separate fabrics). Then you have to make sure the zoning in BOTH fabrics is similar.

Re: ioscan not showing alternate path for 4 meta volumes
Jeff's answer caused me to take a look at exactly what I did yesterday. Quite simply, I tried to path data across a zone that does not exist. Not my intention. I'm in the process of pathing my data down the correct zone as I type this. Thanks for the sanity check.
