ioscan SAN output explay N_PortID HW path
Hello everyone,
could you help me to understand this ioscan output in SAN environment regarding TAPE.
I need to understand the sense of the digit before 255.0.0.7 (10) and 255.1.8.0 (0) in the following ioscan output:
tape 12 1/0/14/1/0/4/1.225.10.255.0.0.7 stape CLAIMED DEVICE STK T9840B /dev/rmt/12m
tape 13 1/0/14/1/0/4/1.239.0.255.1.8.0 stape CLAIMED DEVICE STK T9840B /dev/rmt/13m

We can figure out from this that the devices are in Peripheral Device Addressing mode and the nport IDs for the devices are E10A00 and EF0018 respectively
