Shalom,

Checklist:
1) Bi-annaul patch set after September 2006, which was really good in my opinion.
2) ioscan specific patches.
3) LUN0 not presented to the machine which can lead tot he array being mis-detected as a disk. In such circumstances iocan performance may be compromised.
4) Improper zoning or SAN configuration exposing the system to disks that don't belong to it.

1. Check your patches by using swlist -l fileset -a state and look for corrupt patches.

2. Use the same command to find the following patch.:

PHCO_34720
Title: s700_800 11.23 ioscan(1M) cumulative patch.

Just unplug and plug in again ....

Re: ioscan take long time HPUX 11.23 itanium XP disk array

hi

thank you for your answers .
The solution is hardware solution ,
disconnect and re-connect the fibre on the switch and on the HBA . And the ioscan is correct.

And HP support think about the HBA driver because the HBA is an 4GB bi-port and there is a new version driver B.11.23.08 who solve some ioscan problems .

Thanks
