ioscan with Legacy mode
Dears,
Good day,
I notice something when disabling Legacy mode on HP-UX 11i v31. The ioscan cannot display/detect EVA disks or tape drive over SAN.
But when using smh to browse the devices I can see them. And when running HP LTT it cannot detect the tape drive.
So, at the end I ended up enabling Legacy mode to make it work.
can you help me with this?
Thanks

Re: ioscan with Legacy mode
Hi,
would not you forgot to use '-N' option to display agile devices?
Few examples:
# ioscan -kfN
# ioscan -kfNnC disk
# ioscan -kfNnC tape
# ioscan -kfNC lunpath
Have you tried with last LTT version?
Regards,
Mounaam

Hello AZayed,
you may try

# ioscan -fn
# ioscan -N This displays ne agile view
also you can try
# ioscan -s displays stale device , status - offline, failed
# ioscan -m lun <- display luns by device and path
# ioscan -m dsf
# ioscan -fkm lun
# ioscan -m hwpath

Also you can try follwoing commands
