i commented ip address "b"
but there is an icon configured to access to the server through b ip address and it is accessing to the server
what do i have to coment into the system ?
if i run ifconfig command does not appear the ip address "b", what other thing i have to check to do not let access to the applications through ip address "b"?
thanks in advance.

Re: ip address
ping to the IP will work.
What do you want to do? Disable the NIC?
You can do this manually (modify the netconf file and bring down the NIC) or use SAM.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: ip address
Anyway, first list the LAN devices:
# lanscan
now check the config:
# ifconfig lan0
# ifconfig lan1
and so on ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: ip address
netstat -in
do you see the address "b" in the listed IP addresses ? If so, which interface is it assigned to ? Actually post the output here for clear picture of your lan mapping

Re: ip address
Check /etc/rc.config.d/netconf (HP-UX 10.20) to find any IP configuration.
