IP Multiplexing for 11,000+ IP Addresses

Does anyone know how to add 11,000 IP addresses?
We're doing a project right now and we were only able
to add 2046 IP addresses. I guess the localhost IP and the lan0:0 IP address will make the total IP address of
the machine to 2048.

Re: IP Multiplexing for 11,000+ IP Addresses

Marvin,

I guess I'm lost. Where are you attempting to add 11,000 IP Addresses? Is this for the NNM Tool? If so, try using the loadhosts command. That will work for any number of addresses.

I would recommend that you add the addresses in groups of 1,000 tops. More than that could potentially overload the network due to polling and configuration checks. Obvisously there are many unknowns here.

When in Doubt, especially with this many NEW IP Addresses, go slowly.

Hope that helps.

Have a Great Day!
