iPlanet IWS install scipt/Perl question
I am trying to install iPlanet Web Server 6.0 SP2 for HP on HP-UX 11.11 latest Gold Pack. Running perl version 5.004_05 built for PA-RISC2.0
Setup script terminates with these errors:
ERROR: AdminSysUser not specified in install cache [/var/tmp/aaaa17337]
ERROR: Could not read config file.
ERROR. Failure installing Server Core. Do you want to continue [n]? y
Java Runtime Environment installed successfully.
ERROR: Cannot create backup tree.
ERROR. Failure installing Java Support. Do you want to continue [n]? y
Search and Indexing Support installed successfully.
SNMP Support installed successfully.
Insecure dependency in open while running setgid at /www/iplanet/servers/bin/https/bin/createIndex line 112.
Insecure dependency in open while running setgid at /www/iplanet/servers/bin/https/bin/createIndex line 112.
Insecure dependency in open while running setgid at /www/iplanet/servers/bin/https/bin/upgrade60 line 86
from what I can tell some install scripts are perl and perlsec is giving invalid dependency errors. Anyone know how to get around this? I acknowledge this is probably a perl/iPlanet issue, but Sun says they have never seen this error before. I just can't believe I am the first one this happened to.
Thanks all

Re: iPlanet IWS install scipt/Perl question
Hi,
Do you have the necessary patches installed on the system as recommended by the install guide ? Normally the script should just work fine. PHSS_26820 has fixed some issues with iPlanet version 6.0.
HTH,
Shiju
