Is AXIS supported for HPUX 11i v2?

Are all printers added to HPUX to go through the axis supported on HPUX 11i v2 ?

I mean If some day I have an AXIS problem will HP support my trouble if I call the support team?

I believe that AXIS is part of what HP calls "Internet Express."

Intenet express is a collection of open source documents and HP's "support" of it is limited to reporting a defect to the open source community from where they pulled the product.

The AXIS referred to in the previous doco is related to Apache.

The AXIS print server is a 3rd party product, from AXIS Communications, and is not supported by HP.

You do not need an AXIS print server to add printers to HPUX 11iv2.

You do not need any type of remote print servers to add printers to HPUX. You do not have to have remote printers.

Printers can be added to HPUX as network printers (as opposed to remote printers) by using the jetadmin (hppi) application.


HP will not support the AXIS print server.

BTW, I should add. The AXIS print server does work for 11.00.

Haven't had to use one for 11i but I believe it would work nevertheless.
