is gcc for HP 11.11 available ?

I downloaded gcc from hp depot for HP 11.11 and after installing, it looks like it is for HPUX 11.00
In fact I could find a version for HP11.11 at http://hpux.connect.org.uk/
So my question, is gcc same for both HP11.00 and 11.11.
when I do gcc -v
I am seeing message
Configured with: ../gcc/configure --prefix=/usr/local/pa20_64 --enable...... --host=hppa64-hp-hpux11.00 --target=hppa64-hp-hpux11.00 .....
Thread model: single
gcc version 3.2 20020708 (experimental)

The reason for all these questions is because php compilation from source is failing and looking for a solution. There is a seperate thread for that issue here

If I were you I'd download the source code instead and compile it. You can get the source code from the same place you got the 11.0 depot. Iam running 11.11 and have gcc installed.

It may work for HPUX 11.00 , but with 11.11 I am getting lot of compiler type error messages when compiling any application.
Mostly arround size_of chars and int

I tried that gcc from HP depot for 11i and infact that is the reason for this thread. Please read my first post.

I downloaded a latest gcc source and tried to compile and I am getting this message while doing gmake bootstrap-lean
(infact hp make is giving me syntax error and not proceeding)

../gcc-3.3/libiberty/floatformat.c parse error before "size_t"

Hi Paul, Thanks for pointing the link. Infact I saw that link while searching for gcc issues

But he also does not got any fix for his problem.

So he thinks the /usr/include/stddef.h header is different from what gcc is using and is true.

so my question is can we edit this header file.
Is it allowed?

Try the following site -

Its in a depot format. The only annoying thing is that it sits in /opt/TWWfsw and you have to change your PATH variable to include /opt/TWWfsw/bin.
