Is it possible to form a two-node MC/SG-cluster in this scenario:
Hi Forumers!
The two nodes are located at different sites. Each site is equipped with one EMC. At site A a one-node cluster is established with a package on the EMC. In forming a two-node cluster we need the package to switch from one node to the other. The node at site B is connected to it's local EMC. The two EMC's are connected and data is synced between them. In the current configuration you are not allowed to vgimport the map file from site A.
"Couldn't access list of physical volumes for volume group(package VG)".

Re: Is it possible to form a two-node MC/SG-cluster in this scenario:
You can only do this if you use MetroCluster product, and you would need more nodes for a supported configuration.
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Re: Is it possible to form a two-node MC/SG-cluster in this scenario:
This is a special configuration that is called MetroCluster, using SRDF product.
You need another node, called arbitrary node that act as "quorum" and theorically it should be in another site.
What appens during a site crash is that the target copy of the EMC boxes from RO status pass trough RW and so it's possible to import and mount from SG.
This procedure are all automatic with MC/SC MetroCluster product.
