According topage 5 of the "Techincal Overview White Paper" at http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/operating/hpux11i/infolibrary/index.html, the java performance on HP-UX 11i is "substantially improved" over 11.00.
But they don't give any references or elaborate on that statement.
I've tried poking around "www.hp.com/go/java", but haven't found anything there either.
We're deploying a J2EE (BEA Weblogic) app on 11.00, and I'm trying to ascertain whether or not it'll be faster on 11i. I know I could create an 11i system and test it myself, but I thought I'd try to
leverage of the collective net mind here first :-)
Thanks!

Hi Tyler,
I guess we could try running the volano report on both 11.0 and 11i. I haven't tried it myself, but seems interesting.

Also I may be missing something, but I don't see any reference to 11i in any of the SPECJVM98
http://www.spec.org/cgi-bin/osgresults
or SPECJBB2000 benchmarks

Ramesh

Re: is JVM really faster on 11i (vs 11.00)?
Lots of good URL's, thanks.
But since we still don't know the answer
(11i faster than 11.00?), I'm afraid I have
to only give you 9 points.
If you (or anyone else) would to dig further
and post the answer, I'd be more than happy
to award the full 10 points ;-)
