Re: issue after 10.2 to 11.0 upgrade - SAM issue
Mike,
Just few thoughts to spare.
Check up if your hostname is showing up o.k
Ensure u have all the latest SAM patches.
You have only problem with sam or other funtionalities as well are affected?.
Also briefly explain how you did the upgrade.
Cheers

Re: issue after 10.2 to 11.0 upgrade - SAM issue
I did the upgrade in this order by the manual.
created depot for the update and applications
and patches
swmodify -u PH\?\?\_\?\?\?\?\*.\. PH\?\?\_\*
rm -rf /var/adm/sw/patch
swinstall -x os_name=HP-UX:32 -x os_release=B.11.00
then when GUI came up went to my depot
also chose the 2 reinstall fileset options
Update ran about 1.75 hours and no errors.
Then when the syste booted up I couldn't
login due to the pam.conf message.
HP told me to change ownership of that file.
Got up then I had to install my FDDI software
Now the system is up I'm having a few issues
to deal with.
Can't get into Sam
Can't rlogin, telnet, ftp from this box to
any other.
Working with the HP Resp. center
That's about it.
ANy help would be appreciated.
