issue with samba
I amtrying to share one of the directory from HPUX 11i server to windows server using samba with full permissions (read/write)
Here is my smb.conf file on HPUX server
netbios name = unix014
security = domain
encrypt passwords = Yes
username map = /var/opt/samba/username.map
lm announce = True
local master = No
wins server = 10.198.20.22
mangled names = Yes
mangled stack = 4096
client code page = 437
guest account = smbnull
[homes]
comment = Share Path
path=/Interface/site
writeable = yes
hide dot files = no
guest ok = no
revalidate = False
valid users = ssadm
Where unix014 is HPUX11i server
10.198.20.22 is windows server
ssadm is samba user account on HPUX server.
/interface/site is dir on HPUX server.
After this i am able to map the dir on windows server but everytime i logged into the server it asking to enter samba user account password to access the files under the share directory.
Can you please advice if i have to add / edit t options as i am new to samba.
Thanks In Advance
Venkat

Re: issue with samba
Shalom,
You need to have the HP-UX system join the samba domain.
