Itanium based client - new installation over Ignite-UX server

Hi!

I have ignite-ux server up and running!
I got new machine Itanium 2 ZX6000 with Windows installed. I want new machine to have HpUX 11.23 IA installed on it which i have already added into Ignite-UX server setup.

How can i boot Itanium machine to recognize ignite-ux boot server and install HPUX 11.23 IA64 OS?

BTW: i dont have CD or DVD installed on Itanium

You can create a golden image of another system and install this image to your system - or - swcopy an install media to your server and use a depot based install.


IMPORTANT:

Be aware of this:

"NOTE: The HP zx2000 and zx6000 workstations will no longer be supported on HP-UX 11i v2 after the May 2005 release."

I know that ... but how can i get this new machine to boot into Ignite-UX console ... to appear in ignite ux console ...?

Like i mentioned before ....this zx6000 have windows 2003 ia64 installed ...but i want hpux 11.23 IA64 onto it ...

First, run acpi default from the efi shell.
Then boot from the lan:
lanboot select
The server now tries to connect the ignite server (must be in the same subnet)

uf ...i tried that ...but they didnt in the same subnet ...

Ignite-ux server is 10.49.x.x.
Client is in: 10.87.x.x

What now? :(

really a different subnet? It depends on the mask ...

3 Options:
- bring it to the same subnet
- use a bot helper (in the same subnet)
- connect a CD/DVD drive

subnet mask is 255.255.0.0 for both 10.49.x.x and 10.89.x.x
