Itanium rp8xxx create vpar to boot fronSANS

I have an nPar with one vparcreated on it. That vpar owns ALL the resources. If I map out my plan of allocating resources by LBA, can I use standard vparcreate commands to create a vpar using SANs as boot and then just image it from the ignite server?
Normally this is what I do if I create vpars with Internal disk...
