Its lvcreate -i and -I option

What is the use of Its lvcreate -i and -I option .

Re: Its lvcreate -i and -I option

The '-i' and '-I' options to lvcreate allow you to create striped logical volumes.  The '-i' option is the number of disks to stripe across and the '-I' option is the size of the data chunk written to each disk (stripe size) in the range of 4 KB to 32768 KB. 

 

Both the '-i' and '-I' MUST be speciifed when creating a striped LV.
