IVM and Windows 2003 boot -revisited
Have the DVD presented to the vGuest.
The EFI shell only maps Blk devices no FSx devices.
Any suggestions ?

Re: IVM and Windows 2003 boot -revisited
Got a reburned CD from my Windows Admin.
I would of at least assumed that it would boot and then barf..
Maybe the boot records between the two CDs are different..
I will have to check that and post the findings.
Thanks !

Re: IVM and Windows 2003 boot -revisited
I'm not a windows expert at all, but I'm quite sure the DVD has a different layout (El Torito?) and of course different kernels (a special HAL for ia64).
I would put this DVD into a PC to see what it really is.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: IVM and Windows 2003 boot -revisited
After actually thinking this is kind of a "duh" question.
Of course it needs Windows release for IA. Maybe I blew over that because it was an IVM but the same either way.
Thank you both for keeping me in-line !

Re: IVM and Windows 2003 boot -revisited
Had to use the actual CD as it did not like a presented ISO image.
Do not have a Genuine Windows 2003 IA cd to test so that answer is still unknown. I will update this thread if that ever happens.
Thanks all.
