We have the lan card in a K580. IO scan shows GSC to PCI interface adapter. I have not loaded the drivers, but I thought this was a HSC card? Why does it show PCI?

Solution
Hi Joseph,
If you look at the block diagrams for K-boxes in the 'Configuration Guide' you will see a
High-Speed I/O Subsystem interposed between the HSC devices and the Memory-Processor bus.
The ba (or bc) driver does this translation
and is the PCI Bridge.
As soon as you load the Drivers for your card all will appear as expected.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: J3514A LAN Card
Thanks, A. Clay.
I thought as much. I am going to load the drivers after lunch. Just wanted to get a warm fuzzy.
Thanks again.
