J3515 A with no ethernet address
The hardware is shown as CLAIMED, but on the lanscan output the card has the following MAC:
0x000000000000 !!
Do I have now a problem the hard- or software??
After this I installed different patches but this
did not help and now I have problems to activate the LAN card (probably a swinstall error), so I had have to switch back to the old card.

Re: J3515 A with no ethernet address
Could you check if the old MAC address is in /etc/rc.config.d/hpbase100conf

Re: J3515 A with no ethernet address
Is it possible that HP used such cards for exchange services (licenses on MAC ...)?

Re: J3515 A with no ethernet address
There is no special trick to a new install or a swap as I did on one of those cards recently.
lanscan should show the mac address of the card after the system is up and booted.
If not, it may be time to try a different NIC.
