I believe your old J5600 might not have Hardware enablement patches enough to boot a J6700 system.

SolutionThe J5600 has PA8600 processor and I think the J6700 has the PA8700 or PA8700+ processor in it.
The version of HP-UX you have on the J5600 probably doesn't know anything about the newer processor types. You might try installing the latest Hardware Enablement patches on the J5600, recreate your ignite tape and try installing the J6700 again.

I'll concurr with the HWE patch suggestions. HP-UX gets rather grumpy when presented with a CPU type about which it has not been told.
