Java 1.5 install on HP 11.11

Java 1.5 install on HP 11.11

We are going to upgrade to java 1.5 on a HP 11.11 server. Is it better to unistall the old version, change the default directory, or just let it overwrite the current version ?

If you are using 1.4, new version will be installed by default in /opt/java1.5/

So you can keep both versions in case of failures.

Shalom,

A Java install of 1.5 in a system that already has 1.5 will overwrite.

A Java install of 1.5 in a system that already has 1.4 will do a fresh install.

Simple swinstall
