java 1.6 on PA-RISC 1.1

I'm trying to load java 1.5 and 1.6 on a hp 9000/803 running hpux 11.11. When loading java 1.5 or 1.6 I get a error message

return error code 3 WARNING: Jdk60.JDK60-COM cannot be installed on PA-RISC 1.1

What do I do now????

Hi,

It is not supported on PA system you need to install 1.4 or lover version.

If you want to use the latest, you need to get newer hardware. Either PA or IPF.

PA-RISC 1.1 ?? That means you are still using a PA-7xxx 32-bit processor.
That is years ago that these systems were sold. HP is actively dropping support for these 32-bit systems and recent software, 3rd party also, only exists for PA-2.0 or 64-bit processors.

So yes, by new hardware. The cheapest, most lowend system you can by right now will out perform your current system by - I guess - factor 10 or so. (compared to a single processor PA 1.1 system)
