JAVA issue

Hello experts,

can someone explain (for a complete newby on java) how to setup java on HP-UX to be able to run oracle opatch?

I have dowloaded java to /opt/java1.5 but when I run opatch lsinventory I get this error:

"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NOCLASSDefFoundError: oracle/ops/mgmt/cluster/NoSuchNodeException at oracle.opatch.OPatch.main(OPatch.java:386)"

please advice ...

There's something wrong with my java setup.
How do I check my java installation and how do I correct this when this is not OK?

The java software is located on your application CD/DVD. You can use swinstall to install and configure the environment. Depending on your patch level, several patches could be needed. Find patches here:

http://h18012.www1.hp.com/java/patches/index.html
