JetAdmin - adding a "HP OfficeJet Pro 1775C" printer

This is on HPUX 10.20, JetAdmin D.05.15.

Trying to add the printer mentioned in the subject line. It's not on the list of 46 printers given. However, I suspect I can choose one that's close and it would work fine? Any recommendations? Another idea would be to pick item 45 near the bottom, which lets you craft your own HP/non-HP printer setup from a blank slate.

Has anyone done either? Does anyone have a "model script" for that particular printer?

Unfortunately, HP says JetAdmin was obsoleted January 1, 2002.

Thanks,

Jet Admin is no longer supported on HP-UX. You can get the Jet Direct Printer Installer from here:

Re: JetAdmin - adding a "HP OfficeJet Pro 1775C" printer

Sandip and Mark,

Thanks for your responses. I think what we'll ultimately do is pick an existing printer from the JetAdmin list that comes close to the printer we're trying to set up (not sure yet if we want to try to download and deploy the hppi software yet). The OfficeJet Pro is one of these printer/fax/scanner combo units, usually used on Windows systems. They have the Centronix connecter (no net card) and would be plugged into the machine directly.

The JetAdmin list has a CopyJet, a couple DeskJets, and even maybe one of the DesignJets would work. Most are the HP PCL3 protocol. It will likely be trial and error over here.
