Either incorrect GET community name, not an HP network
printer, or encountering other problems."
When I run diagnostics, "*** Receive NO snmp response!
*** (printer down, cable off, or wrong Get community name?)
No response!
Either incorrect GET community name, not an HP network
printer, or encountering other problems."
But, we do print jobs to this network printer everyday!? Most of the time(if the print job is not very large), it is ok

SolutionPerhaps someone changed the community name on it.
You should be able to go to http://ip.address.of.printer
Or telnet to the IP and configure it that way.

Re: Jetadmin can't recognize a Network Printer
You may want to replace "jetadmin" (which is obsolete) with the new tool "hppi". It is found under /opt/hpnpl/bin. It provides the same functionallity as jetadmin, plus some other additional features.
