JetAdmin
Is HP JetAdmin included in HPUX 11.23 installed on RX8620 platform. When I am doing swlist | grep -i jet, I got nothing. SO I assume, its not installed on the server.
My question is that is HP-UX 11.23 still uses jetadmin for printing or some other utility for that?

Re: JetAdmin
Hi,
I'm running the PA-RISC based hppi on a rx16xx without having any problems.

Re: JetAdmin
JetAdmin was obsolete in 1999 because of Y2K issues. It was replaced with hppi (which is installed on your system). Use the man page for hppi to read about it.
SAM uses hppi to add a JetDirect printer but I find both jetadmin and hppi particularly obtuse to add printers, so I just use the command line process: addqueue. To add an HP printer with a JetDirect card, just use this:
addqueue -h 12.34.56.78 -q my_printer -b off -r off -t off
The man page for addqueue gives you the details. addqueue is the same command found in jetadmin, albeit updated.
