join windbindd with smbpasswd or net

I removed 8725AA A.01.09.05 CIFS/9000 Server and then I installed samba_2.2.8a_HPUX_withwinbind.depot.

The join to the domain was successful manually using the command

#smbpasswd -j DOMAIN -r PDC -U

wbinfo -t (did show the connection)

I rebooted the server and the wbinfo -t command shows not being joined with the PDC.

winbindd documnetation talks about the net command I do not see it in /usr/local/samba/bin.

When restarting the server how is the join accomplished to the PDC automatically and not manually?
