JRF......ITRCs first Olympian

Well, we all knew it was inevitable and that it wouldn't take him long to do it, but now it is official.

James R Ferguson is the ITRC Forums FIRST Olympian. He has eclipsed the 20,000 point barrier.

Congratulations Jim. You do GREAT work here. I certainly hope you continue this for as long as you are able and the forums run.

I feel privileged to call you my friend!!!

[I just wish there was a way to embed the Olympic theme in here. ;) ]

Re: JRF......ITRCs first Olympian

Just out of curiosity, I hunted up JRF's 15,000 point congratulations post (Oct. 17, 2001).

In it I predicted he would hit 20,000 on Feb. 17. Apparently he picked up his pace so he could hit it 10 days early.

So which is better Jim, 8 crowns, or 1 wreath? The wreath is lighter I guess. I just hope they didn't make it out of poison ivy or poison oak!!! ;)

Re: JRF......ITRCs first Olympian

Hi there.
I am on vacation at the moment, but i check the forum every now and then.
I could not help laughing, when i saw the new hats. If you all remember, we had a d discussion about the new sysmbols. The HP guys took them from these proposals i think.

JRF, that is the right symbol for you.

Re: JRF......ITRCs first Olympian

That's great news in the very early morning!

Salve, Jim, my deep respect to your newest and formidable achievement!
..and I believe you will not take a rest, will you? Even that "holiday" you took in december did not slow you down, so to what level of magnificence will you lead the forums now?

Oh, what is the proper way of addressing an Olympian?
"Champion" or "Lord"?

Re: JRF......ITRCs first Olympian

Good morning,

I never intended to be so close...
From 11:00 am GMT yesterday to before Patrics post on 03:25 am GMT is less than 17 hours for 105 points.
That is an extremly good milage I guess.

Excellent work.

Start up the icon editors, this man obviously needs a target. Next step at 50.000 pts ?

Re: JRF......ITRCs first Olympian

JRF, the crown looks awesome! Hail to the chief! I say we sacrifice a M$ box by slaying it with linux to honor our new leader!

Will they have more "crowns" before any of us get to 20K, because JRF will be, what, like at 40K? It will take me about another week to hit 7500, and to get to 7500 took me 4-5 months. At that pace It'll be next year, if I'm lucky, to hit 20K.

I love the new hats and I think that the Olympian is something that fit's much better to JRF than any other hat before.

Excellent! Well done Jim!

Your answers are to the point yet you provide additional insight and background info where helpful. You address the questions asked which often I, as well as others, do not. Thanks for setting the pace and for being an example for the rest of us!

Congratulations!

Re: JRF......ITRCs first Olympian

Congrats on the wreath; you've really deserved it! Thanks for all the help, too. You're quite the insperation. Kinda scary how quickly you jumped from a few crowns to this, but it's well deserved.
