hp-ux 11.0 special announcement for 06/03:

HP-UX 11.0 Core
There will be no changes to the HP-UX 11.0 Core software in June 2003. Therefore, the June 2003 HP-UX Quarterly Release will not contain any 11.0 Core updates. The latest version of HP-UX 11.0 Core software will be and is March 2003 until further notice..

HP-UX 11.0 Support Plus
HP-UX 11.0 Support Plus will not change in June 2003. With the upcoming discontinuance of HP-UX 11.0 in March 2004, the amount of new functionality and features in HP-UX 11.0 has decreased, consequently, there are no required changes to HP-UX 11.0 patch bundles, hardware enablements or diagnostic tools for June 2003. The most recent HP-UX 11.0 Support Plus is March 2003 until further notice.

OK, I understand that 11.00 is going to be dropped. But, are they at least going to address the "liner notes, noted issues" problems with the March 2003 Support Plus. It can be a real pain to get the current patch set installed with those issues still lurking.

Older systems either upgrade or live with 11.0

Stability is a good thing but it does not mean we've given up on 11.00 and we will continue to address issues as they happen.

There's a lot of life left in 11.00.
