K200 boot problem

Have dual proc k200 with 1Gb Ram.

Trying to install 11i ( from external CD), starts boot process and lists hardware paths. Stops on
10/12/5 C720. ( Path to internal CD & DAT ).
SCSI 3rd party deltected bus hang Lbot : 4578 bus :4.

lpb-> state : 6020
etc
etc
lsp-> state :85
lsp-> owner 04a34a00
lsp -> SCSI c720_timer abandoned -- lbot 8878,dev cb040000

I've removed to CD & DAT and tried again - no change.
I've taken the whole cage, i.e. CD,DAT & Disks out and tried - still the same.

Has my machine died big time or does anyone know a fix

Many Thanks in Advance

Phil

Re: K200 boot problem

Phil,
looks like Core I/O path. Did you try to power off system and reseat Core I/O board?

Re: K200 boot problem

Definitely looks like SCSI trouble. No I/O subsystem, no disks, no boot.

What does SEA show if you interupt the boot at the 10 second prompt?

Re: K200 boot problem

As with all SCSI related issues, check the terminator on the SCSI and the SCSI addresses as well.

Have you made any changes are is the HW pretty much the same or is this a new box ?
