K420 paniced and rebooted
Hi all,
On my HP-9000 K420 , 10.20 I founf this morning that the machine rebooted on its own. The /etc/shutdownlog shows :
08:19 Fri Sep 08 2000. Reboot after panic: trap type 1 (HPMC), pcsq.pcoq = 0.cb35a4fb, isr.ior = 5941.7af03a30
No other messages in syslog or any other place.
Can someone shed some light.
Thanks
Jitendra

Re: K420 paniced and rebooted
HPMC is mentioned and means a High Priority Machine Check.
This is a hardware problem.
I would raise a support call with HP.

Re: K420 paniced and rebooted
Thanks John,
I have already opened a hardware call as soon as I saw HPMC in the code. Havent heard back yet from HP.
However I was curiuos to see if I can narrow down the cause looking at this code itself.
Thanks
