K570-K360

Hello,
I am in the process of moving some apps from an under utilized K570 to a K360. I am aware of how much each of these systems can expand. My questionis, is the bus speed slower on a K360 compared to a K570? Is a K570 core faster than a K360?

Re: K570-K360

As far as I'm concern the only thing that is different between K570 and K370 (K360 does not exist) is the K570 can have up to 9 HSC slots. The rest of the configurations are the same for both, clock speed, I and D cache, the HSC bus clock speed (at 40MHz). Both uses PA8200 (200MHz clock speed) and supports up to 6 processors.

Re: K570-K360

I am sure it is a K360.
Max 4gb RAM
And I am 99% sure a max of 4 180 mhz cpu's.
Currently it has 2 gb ram and 2 180's.

Re: K570-K360

Indeed .. sorry ! It does exist ! It's probably a close "relative" to a K460 (max 4cpus, PA8000) but will have less IO slots capability. If you're comparing 570 vs 360 then yes 360 has slower bus speed. The I and D-cache is 1MB less than that of a 570 plus the overall TPM numbers for a 360 is less. See Manoj's attachment for details, it's probably from ..

Hope this helps ..

Re: K570-K360

Hi Robert

I went throguh one of my old config guides

K360 is 180 mHZ clock speed and 1-4 procesors PA 8000 4 gb , where as

K570 1-6 PA8200 200 4MB 4GB 5700-21300

so the fact is that a K570 core is faster than a K360

Re: K570-K360

Hello,

Yep, also, K360's CPU is PA8000 technology, whereas the K570's CPU is PA8200 technology. That alone is already a big step. Bigger than, say having both processors at PA8000 but just with a bigger Hz rate.
