Hy,
In some servers, i get stats with kcusage for example:
kcusage -m nfile
Tunable: nfile
Setting: 90000
Time Usage %

does it only do it if you have alarms configured ?

what versions of hp-ux do you have ? kcusage is not in 11.11

Solution
Check whether kernel monitoring is enabled using:
kcalarm -m status
If its not enabled you can turn it on using:
kcalarm -m on
If it's enabled but not collecting data you can check if it has been having a problem by looking at the EMS registrar log file (the EMS registrar is responsible for intermittently running kcmond which logs the data for kcusage)
Look in the log:
/etc/opt/resmon/log/api.log
