Hi All,
I am looking to implement Kerberos on HP-UX 11.00 (with 10.20/11.00 clients).
I was wondering if any of you could share your positive/negative experiences with Kerberos.
What are the requirements?
Where can I source Kerebros from?
Any help is much appreciated and awarded.
Thank You
Glenn Stewart

Re: Kerberos implementation
Hi Glenn,
I don't know a great deal about kerberos, but I managed to find some information that I hope is helpful to you.

Re: Kerberos implementation
Thanks for that...
I assume from the above that Kerberos comes as a patch for HP-UX 11.00 but not all files required for Kerberos are included (one of the links refers to MIT being a source for the complete implementation).
Is this still true?
With its integration with HP-UX 11i, one would think that HP would happily provide Kerberos for older servers to tie in servers.
Why bother using Kerberos features on 11i if one can't use it on all servers in their collection?

Solution
Things appear to have moved on .... see :

So it appears you'll need to build the kerberos server on 11.i but can have 11.00 clients ....
