I am planning to install oracle10g as and oracle 10g db on hp ux11i box could you send me the best kernel parameters

Hi,
sorry to disappoint, but there are no 'best' parameter. Too much depends on the configuration of your machine and the application the DB is to support. I suggest you initially either go with the values specified in the installation guide and then modify them for your particular site.

There are not 'right' parameters,
but there are so called 'required'
parameters (either min or max values)

This should be included in the Oracle
documentation called : Pre-Installtion Requirements for your platform.
You will find it on the documentation CD.

every version for each platform of Oracle
has one.
It will list required OS patch levels,
Kernel parameters, how to setup dba group etc.. (Don't start without having ploughed this through)
