Kernel size

Hi,

What is max size of kernel ?

The message "Kernel too large to boot" is related to kernel size ?

Is this limitation related to release version. i.e 10.x, 11.x ?

Thanks

Abhijeet

Re: Kernel size

I believe that the reason a kernel can be "too large to boot" is related to the amount of memory available.

Re: Kernel size

Shalom,

Let me confirm that is a memory issue.

How much memory does the system have?

How big is the kernel?

To find this out, you can boot off a Core OS cd.
