Keyboard hangs frequently

Hi All

I have a unix box[model:-B2000,OS=11.11].
If the machine is idle more than 15 to 20 mts the keyboard hangs.

Is there any patch issue, if that case what should i do.

swlist of the machine is attached.

You need to install the latest patch bundle! You last patch bundle was Feb 2001

Hi

After installing the latest depot from patchsvr.fc.hp.com/depots/SP59/GOLDQPK11i

problem is still existing. Now i had a new problem that now all the mails are bouncing back to the sender.

Can anybody help me out.

since you appear to be in HP : please take a read of doc id UMAILKBRC00009719 Sendmail "501 Sender domain must exist" error using kmine search facility (see) ->

As to your hang .... keyboard hangs .... is it responsive to ? is the mouse also affected ?

remote login to the box next time the problem occurs and run top : any process eating cpu : eg rpc.ttdbserver ? also a full swlist -l fileset would help.

Lastly what other applications and processes are running on this system at the time of the hangs ?

what graphics card are we talking here -> graphinfo output ?

During Keyboard hang no other keys are working{}. There is no problem with mouse.

I have attached out put of swlist_fileset and graphinfo.

Have you tried a different keyboard?

Also, do might need this patch PHSS_25263

As to the Xserver hang : I'd advise you install the latest X/graphics associated patches : you're currently running cira 2000/2001 and using an fxe graphics card :

in order of importance :

Xserver PHSS_26622
CDE BASE PHSS_27428
CDE APPS PHSS_26493
Xclients PHSS_26498
Motif PHSS_27425

NB Xserver patch is most likely your fix : look at the number / type of defects it cures since your existing patch PHSS_21817 was released.
