Keyboard not working with hyperterminal

We have established our connection with hyperterminal, but we are trying to interept the boot. Our K class is not recognizing keystrokes. are there other settings we need to modify to make this work?

check your terminal emulation. Try vt100 / vt52.

Under settings, there is a button labled "Input Translation" with values of "Shift-JIS" or "Standard JIS". Any thoughts on this setting?

the emulation setting would be under,

file --> properties --> settings --> Emulation

I see what you were asking. Sorry about not cheking that before. I would guess, you can leave the default. Have never tried that option before.
